Your Costa Rican adventure offers seamless transfers to Crocodile Bay and Botanika Resort. Upon your international arrival into San Jose, our team of professional bilingual drivers will greet you at the airport and take you to one of San Jose’s newest hotels, The Hilton La Sabana (or one of our comparable properties). The Hilton La Sabana opened in June of 2021 and is located across from Costa Rica’s National Stadium and La Sabana Park. Within approximately a half mile from the hotel, you’ll find the city center cultural sites, restaurants and museum. This hotel offers spectacular views of the city from the 31st floor pool or the restaurant located on the 18th floor, making your first night in Costa Rica memorable.
Our drivers return the next day to take you to the domestic air terminal for your flight to Crocodile Bay. This flight provides spectacular views of Central America’s largest coastal rainforest and lands in the charming town of Puerto Jimenez where the edge of the rainforest bathes in the warm waters of the Pacific. The team will meet you and take you to the resort where you’re welcomed into a beautiful, secluded rainforest retreat for a truly authentic Costa Rican experience. In conjunction with the memorable eco tours and legendary fishing excursions, the resort has become a destination travel location.
Crocodile Bay was voted as one of the top international family destinations. Your trip includes 3 days of fishing on the 24′ Boston Whaler. The Boston Whaler can fish inshore or offshore and has an enclosed head for your privacy and convenience. You can upgrade any day to the 33′ Strike Tower for only $648 per day (includes taxes).
The trip also has 1 + 1/2 days where you can add eco adventures of your choice or spa treatments. These may be added for an additional cost.
Arriving San Jose, Costa rica
When planning your visit to the Osa Peninsula, we recommend scheduling your international flight into San Jose, Cosa Rica where the airport code is SJO. From here we can handle your Costa Rica travel logistics. Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you and transfer you to one of San Jose’s newest hotel properties, The Hilton La Sabana. The Hilton La Sabana is located near the city central and is one of the tallest buildings in San Jose which offers stunning views of the city. Enjoy your first night in San Jose.
Arriving Botanika, Osa Peninsula at Crocodile bay
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking 45 minute flight from Costa Rica’s Capital City (San Jose) across lush coffee plantations and the spectacular Talamanca mountain range. During your flight you will experience spectacular views of Central America’s largest coastal rainforest and land in the charming town of Puerto Jimenez where the edge of the rainforest bathes in the warm waters of the Pacific. The Botanika staff will escort you from the airstrip to hotel where you will have a fresh mango/rum cocktail in your hand within minutes. Welcome to paradise!
Inshore or Offshore fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
After a quick orientation by our fishing director and an update on recent fishing activities, you pick your pleasure inshore or offshore. The 800-foot pier is located only 5 minutes from your room. Boats are outfitted with top-of-the-line fishing gear and you are accompanied by professional, English-speaking crew. Daily fishing includes your Costa Rica fishing licenses, gear, bait and an on-board cooler with a picnic style lunch, snacks, cold beer, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Inshore or Offshore fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
If your first day was spent offshore hunting for billfish, we encourage you to take a day inshore and pursue the roosterfish, snapper and a multitude of other species that can be found cruising the volcanic shoreline.

Inshore Or Offshore Fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
Now that you’ve experienced inshore and offshore fishing, it’s up to you how to spend your third day! Staff from our fishing department will visit you each night around dinner time to see how your day was, address any concerns and to plan your next day’s trip. Our Boston Whalers and Strike tower boats go inshore or offshore, so spend the day doing either one or a little of both.
Depart Botanika, Osa Peninsula and Crocodile Bay
Resort transfer to the Puerto Jimenez airport for your in-country flight to San Jose | PJM > SJO
Upon your arrival back into San Jose, your driver will be waiting to take you back to the international terminal for your flight home. For a same day connection, schedule your International Departure after 1 pm.

- San Jose Transfer Package: 1st night hotel stay with breakfast in San Jose (double room occupancy), round-trip airport transfers (SJO>hotel>SJO), round-trip in-country flights (SJO > PJM > SJO), with taxes and fees
- Resort transfer to Botanika, Osa Peninsula
- Botanika Accommodation: 5 Resort nights in a studio with resort meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Room features: king or 2 queen beds, seating area, small refrigerator, mico and coffee station. Rate includes resort fees and applicable taxes
- 3 Days of World-class Sportfishing: inshore or offshore- 24' Boston Whaler. You may upgrade any fishing day to the 33' Strike tower at $500 per fishing day.
SPORT FISHING CHARTERS INCLUDE: Captain, Costa Rica fishing license, Gear, Bait, Fuel and an on-board cooler filled with a picnic-style lunch, cold beer, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Pricing does not include international flights, food and beverage unless stated, gratuities or personal purchases. Eco Tours made be added to the itinerary for an additional cost. Alcohol is available for purchase at the hotel.
