The package provides for 3 full days of fishing (inshore or offshore), a couple’s massage, horseback riding, chocolate, and a sunset kayak tour. Arriving San Jose, Costa rica
When planning your visit to the Osa Peninsula, we recommend scheduling your international flight into San Jose, Cosa Rica where the airport code is SJO. From here we can handle your Costa Rica travel logistics. Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you and transfer you to one of San Jose’s newest hotel properties, The Hilton La Sabana. The Hilton La Sabana is located near the city central and is one of the tallest buildings in San Jose which offers stunning views of the city. Enjoy your first night in San Jose.
Arriving Botanika, Osa Peninsula at Crocodile bay
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking 45 minute flight from Costa Rica’s Capital City (San Jose) across lush coffee plantations and the spectacular Talamanca mountain range. During your flight you will experience spectacular views of Central America’s largest coastal rainforest and land in the charming town of Puerto Jimenez where the edge of the rainforest bathes in the warm waters of the Pacific. The Botanika staff will escort you from the airstrip to hotel where you will have a fresh mango/rum cocktail in your hand within minutes. Welcome to paradise! Inshore or Offshore fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
After a quick orientation by our fishing director and an update on recent fishing activities, you pick your pleasure inshore or offshore. The 800-foot pier is located only 5 minutes from your room. Boats are outfitted with top-of-the-line fishing gear and you are accompanied by professional, English-speaking crew. Daily fishing includes your Costa Rica fishing licenses, gear, bait and an on-board cooler with a picnic style lunch, snacks, cold beer, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Horseback Riding
Explore the interior of the Osa Peninsula on horseback (the local’s way). You will be guided along isolated mountain paths and jungle trails offering stunning gulf and ocean views with abundant wildlife. Throughout the day, you will have plenty of opportunities to dismount to rest and explore the rainforest on foot. Explore the varied landscape and see the wildlife from the peacefulness and majesty of a horse.
Inshore Or Offshore Fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
If your first day was spent offshore hunting for billfish, we encourage you to take a day inshore and pursue the roosterfish, snapper and the multitude of other species that can be found cruising the volcanic shoreline. Other inshore species include African pompano, Bluefin trevally and grouper. Make sure to check the daily catch boards to see where the action is! After dinner, enjoy an nice couple’s massage before retiring.
Chocolate Tour and a Beach day
In the morning, you visit a family owned farm operated by a local Costa Rican family. The tour commences with a nice easy walk through organic tropical fruit orchards and fields of pineapple, banana, papaya, melon, sugar cane and manioc. Experience how chocolate is made and taste the results. The tour ends with an offering to sample the chocolate and some of the many products of the farm. Once you get back to the resort and have had a chance to grab a bite to eat, grab your stuff and head down to a private beach to enjoy the sun, surf and sand.

Resort transfer to the Puerto Jimenez airport for your in-country flight to San Jose | PJM > SJO
Upon your arrival back into San Jose, your driver will be waiting to take you back to the international terminal for your flight home. For a same day connection, schedule your International Departure after 1 pm.

- Botanika Accommodation: 5 Resort nights in a studio with resort meals. Room features: king or 2 queen beds, seating area, small refrigerator, mico and coffee station. Rate includes resort fees and applicable taxes. This package includes a bottle of champage delivered to your room on the first night.
- 2 Days of World-class Sportfishing: inshore or offshore - 24' Boston Whaler. Any Whaler may be upgraded to the 33' Strike Tower for an additional $500 per fishing day.
- 3 Tours: Sunset Kayak, Horseback Riding and Chocolate Tour for 2 people. (note: weight restriction applies to Horseback riding.
