legendary world-Class sport fishing

Crocodile Bay prides itself on having the largest professional sportfishing team in Central America with in-house captains and mates able to cater to all skill levels. At the helm stands Diego Camacho, Director of Fishing and an expert fisherman. Diego is a native-born Costa Rican who moved to the states at nine years old and spent 20 years cutting his fishing teeth in Marathon and Key West. What makes Diego unique is that he deeply understands both cultures, and uses his knowledge to manage employees and the expectations of our guests equally well. Diego and his crew are dedicated to providing education and training to ensure you enjoy the fishing trip of a lifetime. Offshore, Inshore, Kayak and Surf/Shore fishing excursions are available, each uniquely challenging and equally rewarding.

World-class billfishing for Sailfish and Marlin start just outside the mouth of the Golfo Dulce, about a thirty minute boat ride from the 800-foot pier. The Pacific Sailfish can be caught all year and, during the winter months, it is common to raise 10 to 15 in a single day. Fishing is “catch and release” using safe circle hooks. The fishing director and English speaking captains will work with you to accommodate any fishing technique.

In addition to cobalt blue water, the smooth Golfo Dulce provides anglers exciting inshore action. Home to the Roosterfish, Bluefin Trevally, Jacks, Grouper and many other, you will find plenty of different fishing spots to try in this 30-mile-long saltwater gulf.
