Arriving San Jose, Costa Rica
When planning your visit to the Osa Peninsula, we recommend scheduling your international flight into San Jose, Cosa Rica where the airport code is SJO. From here we can handle your Costa Rica travel logistics. Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you and transfer you to one of San Jose’s newest hotel properties, The Hilton La Sabana. The Hilton La Sabana is located near the city central and is one of the tallest buildings in San Jose which offers stunning views of the city. Enjoy your first night in San Jose.
Arriving Botanika, Osa Peninsula at Crocodile bay
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking 45 minute flight from Costa Rica’s Capital City (San Jose) across lush coffee plantations and the spectacular Talamanca mountain range. During your flight you will experience spectacular views of Central America’s largest coastal rainforest and land in the charming town of Puerto Jimenez where the edge of the rainforest bathes in the warm waters of the Pacific. The Botanika staff will escort you from the airstrip to hotel where you will have a fresh mango/rum cocktail in your hand within minutes. Welcome to paradise!
Inshore or Offshore fishing | 24' Boston Whaler
After a quick orientation by our fishing director and an update on recent fishing activities, you pick your pleasure inshore or offshore. The 800-foot pier is located only 5 minutes from your room. Boats are outfitted with top-of-the-line fishing gear and you are accompanied by professional, English-speaking crew. Daily fishing includes your Costa Rica fishing licenses, gear, bait and an on-board cooler with a picnic style lunch, snacks, cold beer, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.

If your first day was spent offshore hunting for billfish, we encourage you to take a day inshore and pursue the roosterfish, snapper and a multitude of other species that can be found cruising the volcanic shoreline.

Now that you have experienced both inshore and offshore fishing, you decide how you wish to enjoy your third day of fishing. Staff will visit your nightly around dinner to see how your day was and help you plan your next day’s adventure.

Enjoy a fourth day of fishing at Crocodile Bay Resort with your experienced, bilingual crew and high performance gear. Did you know that Crocodile Bay Resort is located at the edge of one of only four tropical fjord systems in the world? Reaching depths of nearly a mile in the center, this pristine region is also visited by whale sharks, and migratory humpback whales that visit from both the northern and southern hemispheres.

Upon your arrival back into San Jose, your driver will be waiting to take you back to the international terminal for your flight home. For a same day connection, schedule your International Departure after 1 pm.

- 4 Days of World-class Sportfishing: inshore or offshore in the 24' Boston Whaler. You may upgrade any fishing day for only $500 per day.
SPORT FISHING CHARTERS INCLUDE: Captain, Costa Rica fishing license, Gear, Bait, Fuel and an on-board cooler filled with a picnic-style lunch, cold beer, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Pricing does not include international flights, food and beverage unless stated, gratuities or personal purchases. Eco Tours and Spa treatments may be added to the itinerary for an additional charge. Alcohol may be purchased at the hotel.
